Sponge Chats – Teacher Training with Monica Ruda-Peachey

This blog post is part of the Sponge Chats video series.

Last week I had the pleasure to sit down with Monica Ruda-Peachey, a teacher, trainer, blogger and materials writer based in the UK. Monica moved into teacher training some years ago, and now works as a CertTESOL trainer, developing pre-service teachers. Her blog, Ruda-Peachey Education, is full of her own reflections as well as teacher training materials that she has kindly made and put up for everyone to download and use.

In the fourth Sponge Chat, we got to speak about her development as a trainer, the Cambridge Delta, some of the problems she has faced, her blog and, of course, some pieces of advice for teachers looking to move into teacher training. Monica also recommended ELT Teacher to Writer series (she said trainer, but she meant writer!) – a very popular series for those looking to develop as materials developers.

Watch the Sponge Chat on YouTube or listen on Spotify. And, as usually, please let us know what you think!
