This blog post is part of the Sponge Chats video series.

For the fifth Sponge Chat, I had the pleasure to sit down with teacher, trainer and materials writer, Lindsay Warwick. Lindsay is someone who has been very established in two important strands of ELT, teacher training and materials writing, for quite some time. She has trained teachers both internationally and within the UK on Celta courses, and she has written numerous course books, including a number in the Gold and Roadmap series (and many more!).
We got to take a look at Lindsay’s journey from teaching into teacher training and materials writing, some challenges she faced along the way, and some advice she has for teachers looking to do the same. Lindsay was also kind enough to provide us with a great book recommendation: Quality Questioning (Amazon affiliate link) by Walsh and Sattes.
Make sure to check out the Sponge Chat on YouTube, Spotify or any other platform. Also, Sponge ELT is on Twitter now! If you are a Twitterer, make sure you click that follow button. And remember to let us know what you think 🙂
Another great video in the series. Lindsay is a fantastic person to work with, and I would endorse her for any materials development and teacher training roles.

Thanks for your comments, Zoe! I really enjoyed speaking with Lindsay and I have no doubt she is great to work with in other contexts as well.
