In the world of ELT, few people are as familiar as Rachael Roberts. She’s been in our industry for a very long time, and has worked as a teacher, materials writer, manager, and is now a business and mindset coach for freelance ELT professionals. Rachael has a huge online presence through her posts, her courses, and also through her online freelancer conferences – make sure you check out her site Earn Learn Thrive. Needless to say, I was grateful to Rachael for taking time out of her busy schedule to sit down and chat with me.
We spoke about numerous things, but a lot of it centred on being a business owner, some of the things one needs to consider (e.g., burnout), and we also looked at some advice for those of us looking to move into freelancing (or who maybe are already there!).
